Disciplinary Proceedings and Departmental Inquiries

Defence in departmental inquiries, charge sheets and major / minor penalty proceedings against government employees.

Disciplinary proceedings can derail a government career even where the underlying allegations are weak. We defend officers and employees through the entire departmental inquiry process — from response to charge sheet, through inquiry, to challenge of penalty orders before CAT and the High Courts.

At the Inquiry Stage

We draft replies to charge sheets and articles of charge, advise on documentary and witness strategy, and represent the charged officer (subject to applicable conduct rules) through the inquiry. Procedural lapses at this stage are often decisive on appeal.

Penalty and Appeal

We challenge major and minor penalty orders, suspension orders and review and revision orders before the Central Administrative Tribunal and constitutional courts, focusing on natural justice, proportionality and rule compliance.
